Day 1

Otavalo

This spectacular tour starts early in the morning, our guide pick us up at the place in Quito agreed, to take the road to the province of Imbabura, touring the flowering valleys of Guayllabamba and Cayambe.

Our first stop will be the Mirador del Lago San Pablo, which has an exceptional view.

Continuing with our tour we will visit one of the most touristic places, the famous market of Los Ponchos or commonly known as indigenous market, here it will be the perfect opportunity to acquire the most varied crafts made by the skillful hands of the inhabitants of the place.

After we will visit the spectacular Peguche Waterfall, we will follow a path that crosses a forest of eucalyptus, in a walk of approximately 40 minutes, until we reach the beautiful waterfall of Peguche, a waterfall of 20 meters high, which is born in Lake San Pablo, a relaxing place, considered sacred by the communities of the place, here we will enjoy magical moments surrounded by the best of nature.

Day 2

Road train in Ibarra - Salinas

In the morning our guide will pick us up at the hotel to take us to the White City, where is the train station Ibarra.

At 10:30 am we board the train, heading north to Salinas community, land of artisans, lakes and legends, where the railroad crossing is full of exoticism and fascination.

Here you can enjoy the natural scenery that adorns the railway, passing through sugar cane fields, a series of bridges and tunnels made with pick and shovel, turning the railroad into a giant mole in the middle of the mountain.

Once in Salinas, Afro-Ecuadorian community we will receive and delight to us with their culture, music and dance. Also visit the Ethnographic Museum of Salt

Train back to the city of Ibarra, for after a lovely day in our vehicle back to Quito.

What equipment do I need?

You should carry both light clothing as warm (the weather in Quito is variable and it is best to be prepared), swimwear, if possible extra clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses will make this adventure more comfortable, a camera is always great, but if you haven't it, dont worry our guide will take pictures for you, and some videos to share with friends.

Can pay by credit card?

And the shoes?

You can use any kind of shoes, but preferably ones that are cofortables use and allow you to walk without problems.
