Detailed itinerary

Day 1:

Arrival in Baltra - Visit Twin Craters - El Chato Reserve / Tunnels

El Chato, Galapagos Islands

Our assigned guide will pick you up at the airport to transfer you to the hotel on Santa Cruz Island.

On the way we will make a stop to know the Twin Craters, which are geological sinks in the middle of a forest of escalecias, are located in the upper parts of the island.

The upper part of Santa Cruz Island offers important attractions due to its climate and vegetation. It is a tropical rain forest that
it offers a very different landscape from that of the island in the lower part.

In the Santa Rosa area, we will visit the El Chato Reserve, where the famous Galapagos giant tortoises live in a natural state, we will observe the turtles relaxing or submerged in the El Chato lagoon. Wild birds such as finches, witch birds, herons, oxtails and sometimes pachays nest here.

During the visit to this reserve we will also see a natural lava tunnel, which we will access thanks to a dim lighting installed by the owners of the room.

Day 2:

North Seymour or Bartolome Island

Fragata, Seymour Norte, Galapagos Islands

Our agent will pick us up at the hotel to transfer them to the Itabaca Canal dock to board the yacht that will take us to La Isla Seymour Norte, an ideal place for hiking. There is a circular path approximately 2 kilometers long that crosses the interior of the Island and leads to explore the rocky coast. This path will take you through some of the largest Galapagos seabird colonies. Here we will have the opportunity to observe the nesting places of the showy blue-footed boobies and the colorful frigates that are visible throughout the year.

After lunch, we will snorkel with the green sea turtles and the famous Galapagos sharks, we will also appreciate the mischievous sea lions playing and surfing in the sea.

We will visit Bachas beach where we can enjoy the wonderful sun and sea of the Galapagos.

or Bartolome Island

Pinnacle Rock, Bartolome Island, Galapagos Islands

Another option is to visit Bartolomé, on the Itabaca channel, we will board a yacht, which will take us to the island, here we will marvel at its turquoise waters and beautiful white sand beaches.

We will have breakfast on board and after 2 hours of navigation we will arrive at Bartolomé. Here we will climb a staircase, until we reach the summit where we will appreciate the spectacular landscape of two beautiful bays and fascinating lava formations and volcanic cones. Here is the famous Pinnacle, a huge formation of black lava that has eroded over time and is the most representative image of the archipelago. Near Pinnacle Rock we will observe two beautiful crescent-shaped beaches.

The island offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in the archipelago, it has a variety of red, orange, green, black soils and brilliant volcanic formations.

We will snorkel with sea turtles, white tip reef sharks, tropical fish, sea lions and many other unique marine species.

Bartolomé is the perfect place to observe the Galapagos Penguins.

After lunch, we will visit Sullivan Bay, in this place there are some amazing lava formations, the product of a volcanic eruption in 1903. This is an excellent sample of colors and typical shapes that contrast with other older types of lava.

At the end of the day we will return to the hotel.
