The historical center of Alausi, declared as Cultural Heritage of Ecuador, is one of the main attractions of the city. Other attractions that can be found in Alausi are the Devil's Nose, Ozogoche Lakes, Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes of the Immaculate Conception and Inca trails. This place is full of important natural and cultural resources.

Sibambe - Alausí, Train Route

Tour to Devil's Nose

The Devil's Nose, Nariz del Diablo, is a major attraction in the Ecuador. It’s a train route known as "the most challenging railway in the world”. The many hills are making this a rather rocky ride. Especially at the point where the train will slowly zigzag on a hill, about 90 degrees steep and 1800 meters above sea level, known as The Devil’s Nose.

The train journey starts in Alausí and will head towards the Sibambe station. The exciting ride will take about 2.5 hours. The train is comfortable and modern cars make it possible to enjoy the epic panoramic view of the mountains and rivers that will be crossed. Once in Sibambe, you can enjoy the rich cultural, folklore and admire many crafts.
