Baños de Agua Santa is a small city, located at the base of the Tungurahua Volcano, several kilometers from Quito and is surrounded by rivers, including Río Pastaza. Baños de Agua Santa is also known as the “Gateway to the Amazons” and literally stands for “baths of the holy waters”.
