Otavalo is located in Imbabura province, 110 km north of Quito, this town is now one of the most important tourist destinations of Ecuador, surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, streams and springs make this small city a paradise where you always return. The city of Otavalo is known worldwide for the famous handicraft Indian Market
Departure at 8 am, bound to the colorful town of Otavalo and most famous Indian fair in South America, the Pan American Highway, which takes you through spectacular mountain scenery, to enjoy a spectacular view of peoples and communities, while conducting their activities and daily life.
Our first stop will be at Calderon, a town where the famous figures made of marzipan in many shapes and colors. Continuing our tour we will stop at Guayllabamba where you can taste the "chirimoyas" fruit typical of the area also visit the viewpoint of the road to Cayambe to admire and photograph the beautiful valleys and snow-capped mountains surrounding this place.
Before coming to Otavalo, visit the viewpoint of the Laguna de San Pablo, at the foot of Imbabura volcano. At the lake can make all kinds of water sports, horseback riding, mini cruises, etc.
We continue our journey, and arrive at the Otavalo market or Plaza de Ponchos showing varied indigenous crafts, handmade.
After lunch we visit Cotacachi, known as the "music capital of Ecuador", rich in the production of fine leather garments, which are displayed and sold in small shops and large in the center of the city. Finally, we will continue to Cuicocha Lake, located in the caldera of an active crater in the Cotacachi Ecological Reserve called Cotacachi - Cayapas. A beautiful place, there is an opportunity to tour the lagoon in a boat.
Once finished our tour we return to Quito to rest in the hotel.
